Little Rock Marathon Registration Free for Seniors Who Register with UAMS ReCenter Program

LITTLE ROCK — People age 65 and older interested in participating in the Little Rock Marathon can do so free of charge when they register with the ReCenter Team, part of a new program from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.


 


Anyone can register as a member of the team regardless of age, however the Reynolds Institute’s ReCenter program will pay the registration fee for participants age 65 and older. The marathon is March 5, and the deadline to register through the Reynolds Institute is March 2. Participants can participate in the full 26.2 mile marathon, the half-marathon, the relay or the 5K fun run/walk. Team members also have the option of completing half of the 5K. Participants will get a ReCenter T-shirt and will have access to a recreational vehicle to store personal belongings.


 


ReCenter is the public education program of the UAMS Reynolds Institute providing lectures, events and educational activities on topics such as nutrition, exercise and healthy living. For more information about ReCenter, visit www.centeronaging.com/recenter.
