Kalapatapu Joins UAMS Vascular Surgery Team

LITTLE ROCK – Dr. Venkat Kalapatapu has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Vascular Surgery as an assistant professor and vascular surgeon.


 


Kalapatapu has partnered with John Eidt, M.D., professor of surgery and radiology, division director of the UAMS Department of Vascular Surgery and director of the Vascular Center, to provide the latest treatments for vascular diseases.


 


“Dr. Kalapatapu brings exceptional credentials to UAMS,” said Eidt. “When coupled with our new Endovascular Surgery Suite, our team is providing patients a level of care not seen in this region of the country.”


 


Kalapatapu graduated from Kakatiya Medical College in Warangal, AP, India, in 1994. He then graduated from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India. In 2003 he completed a Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, United Kingdom. From there he completed a four-year surgical residency at Easton Hospital in Easton, Penn., and a two-year vascular surgery fellowship at UAMS.
