Shoppers Receive 20 Percent Discount at 160 Arkansas Shops with the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Partners Card
| LITTLE ROCK — Dozens of shops and boutiques in central and northwest Arkansas will offer discounts on their merchandise Oct. 29-Nov. 7 as part of Partners Card, a fundraising project of the volunteer auxiliary of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

This is the seventh year for the Cancer Institute to offer Partners Card in central Arkansas and the fifth year in the northwest part of the state. During that time, the fundraiser has raised more than $400,000 in central Arkansas and $90,000 in northwest Arkansas.
For 10 days, shoppers who purchase the $50 cards will receive a 20 percent discount at about 160 area stores. All proceeds from the sale of the Partners Cards will go to the Cancer Institute’s volunteer auxiliary to fund projects that directly benefit cancer patients in Arkansas. The auxiliary provides information, services, compassion and hope to those touched by cancer.
“The holidays are just around the corner. Partners Card is a great way to help a good cause while doing your holiday shopping, or just buying something special for yourself. Shoppers who purchase a card receive a generous discount on everything from clothes to artwork to home accessories,” said Kenan Keyes, Partners Card chairman.
Shoppers will be able to save on everything from the latest fashions for the whole family to antiques, home furnishings, fresh flowers, gift items, jewelry, outdoor gear, children’s toys and more.
UAMS is the state’s only comprehensive academic health center, with colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Related Professions and Public Health; a graduate school; a 540,000-square-foot hospital; a statewide network of regional centers; and six institutes: the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute, the Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, the Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute, the Psychiatric Research Institute and the Donald W.
