UAMS Institute on Aging to Host Public Health Fair
| LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) invites the public to receive free health assessments on Saturday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Ageless Health Fair hosted by the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
The health assessments by UAMS geriatric specialists will include balance and gait, blood pressure, medications, memory, mood, nutrition and body mass index. Presentations also will be given throughout the event on healthy aging.
The Ageless Health Fair also is an official drop-off site for the public to bring expired and unused medications as part of the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. UAMS is among more than 150 locations in Arkansas for the one-day program organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration. Go to www.artakeback.org
