Three Named to UAMS Cancer Institute Foundation Board
| LITTLE ROCK – The board of directors of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Foundation at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has announced the election of three new board members.
The new members are Virginia Stuart Chapman Cobb, Steven Collier, M.D., and Stacy Sells.
Cobb is a member of the UAMS Foundation Fund Board, the Chancellor’s Circle, the UAMS Hospital Auxiliary and the Cancer Institute Auxiliary. She also is the past president and a current member of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary and a charter board member of the Susan G. Komen Foundation (Little Rock chapter).
Collier has been a family practice physician for 31 years and has served as the CEO of ARcare for 10 years. Collier serves on the board of the Bank of Augusta, Baptist Health and Ouachita Baptist University. He is a graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine.
Sells is senior vice president of strategic planning at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods. She also is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and is a member of the PRSA Counselor’s Academy.
UAMS is the state’s only comprehensive academic health center, with colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Health Professions and Public Health; a graduate school; a hospital; a statewide network of regional centers; and seven institutes: the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, the Jackson T.
