Indoor Waiting Area for Clinic Visitors
| As of Monday, Aug. 10, the dining area and hallway on the first floor of the Aging Institute are open for visitors who are accompanying patients with appointments on campus. Due to physical-distancing restrictions, capacity is limited to only those with special needs and those who request a place to wait or use the restroom.
The area will be staffed by volunteers, and everyone who goes to the first floor must pass a health screening. Free parking is provided along with access to vending machines, comfortable seating and air-conditioning. Visitors are able to participate in the patient’s appointment by phone or video chat if the patient would like them to.
Maps with instructions will be distributed from outpatient screening locations to appropriate visitors.
