Brandon Robinson Joins UAMS General Counsel Office
| LITTLE ROCK — Brandon C. Robinson has joined the Office of General Counsel at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as associate general counsel, effective March 2.
Robinson, who will handle contracting and utility regulation, comes to UAMS from the Arkansas Attorney General’s office, where he started in 2010 in the civil litigation division. In 2011, Robinson became one of seven attorneys serving as in-house counsel for more than 200 state agencies, boards, commissions and colleges across the state as part of the civil agencies division.
Specifically, he served as general counsel for 27 different agencies, boards and commissions, including the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy, the Independent Citizens Commission of Arkansas, the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Arkansas Minority Health Commission.
Prior to that, Robinson spent five years as associate counsel for Bridges, Young, Matthews and Drake PLC in Pine Bluff. He served as an adjunct professor at Southeast Arkansas College and as city attorney for the City of Redfield. Robinson was an intern at the White House in the Executive Office of the President during the Clinton administration.
He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, the Arkansas Bar Association, and the American Bar Association Health Law Section.
In 2009, Robinson was selected by Arkansas Business as one of the “40 Under 40” honorees. He has previously served as a board member and volunteer mentor for Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Central Arkansas.
