Moore Receives National Scholarship
| During a virtual convention and awards ceremony in October, Alex Moore, a third-year College of Pharmacy student, was one of 15 students nationwide chosen to receive the National Community Pharmacy Association (NCPA) Foundation Presidential Scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded to individuals who demonstrate leadership qualities and accomplishments along with having interest in independent pharmacy.
Moore serves on the association’s 2019-2020 Student Leadership Council. To qualify for the $2,000 scholarship, awardees must be involved in extracurricular activities while also showing scholastic success. The recipients received complementary registration to the virtual convention.
“I am very honored to have received this award,” Moore said. “I have been actively involved in NCPA since the beginning of pharmacy school, so this means a lot to me. NCPA has opened up many doors and will continue to be a part of my educational and professional career.”
