A Hot Springs native, Story-Hefta graduated summa cum laude in May 2013 from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She received her Doctor of Medicine from UAMS in 2017 and in June completed her residency in vascular surgery at UAMS.

“Dr. Story-Hefta is one of the most outstanding graduates from our vascular surgery training residency here at UAMS,” said Mohammed Moursi, M.D., chief of vascular surgery at UAMS and program director of the vascular surgery residency program. “She is a native Arkansan who cares deeply about the state’s citizens and the vascular surgical care they receive. She is committed to providing outstanding vascular surgery care to the people of Arkansas.”

Story-Hefta treats multiple vascular conditions including peripheral vascular disease, aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, venous disease and hemodialysis access. She is accepting new patients at the UAMS Outpatient Center, which can be reached at 501-686-6176.

“She, along with other members of the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Aortic Center here at UAMS are available 24/7 to provide world-class vascular surgery care,” Moursi said.
