July MVP — Janet Jackson

Meet Janet Jackson, the MVP for July. Janet serves as a lab support technician in the UAMS Laboratory & Pathology Service Line. Please read what one of her nominators wrote about how she does that:
Janet Jackson has made a huge impact on the new regional clinics lab program. She works in lab client services and has become indispensable to our regional clinics.
When I submitted a client satisfaction survey last summer, I received comment after comment about how wonderful Janet is to work with. I recently visited my clinic labs to meet with employees for a mid-cycle evaluation. Every single employee I met with mentioned Janet by name and how critical she was to them. Every one!
She solves problems, finds the right answer, makes herself available in a crisis, and makes the lab look good every day. She cares so much about her clinics and the patients. She took on reviewing reports to make sure criticals and canceled tests have been called and documented. She chases down results if there is a delay to make sure nothing gets missed. That was not required for her job but did it because she saw a need and took care of it.
I regularly receive emails praising her. If you call any regional clinic and ask about Janet, I guarantee they know her name and will have nothing but good things to say about her. She is more than deserving of being considered a UAMS MVP.
UAMS will recognize Janet in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for her photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. A Faces of UAMS video will feature her, and UAMS is giving her some great university swag. At one of the chancellor’s cabinet meetings, Janet will receive a certificate and monetary award. The university also will honor her and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.
