Erin Puryear

By News Staff

Throughout the UAMS Pharmacy IV room remodel, Erin has shown outstanding leadership and initiative. This project was a long time coming. By working tirelessly from dusk ‘til dawn on her off days in crunch-time, she put the UAMS inpatient pharmacy in a position to continue to provide excellent patient care, and avoid any medication delays.

Erin always exhibits positivity, teamwork, and creativity, and it was on display during a difficult transition. Erin knew that we would be back to compounding in the main pharmacy. Even though she was not scheduled, Erin moved all of the critical supplies and equipment from the Cancer Institute to the main pharmacy.

On the day of the transition, Erin made sure to be front and center to assist with any/all issues that may have arisen. These are leadership qualities that can’t be taught; the pharmacy staff is very proud of Erin and all of her hard work. She deserves to be recognized for all of the trials and tribulations that she has faced during the project’s entirety.

At the next chancellor’s cabinet meeting, she will receive a certificate and monetary award. In the summer, UAMS will honor her and other awardees at the annual MVP luncheon.

Please congratulate Erin for being our MVP of the Month!
