Summer Jamison
| Meet Summer Jamison, the university’s MVP for March and a General Medical Education coordinator at the UAMS South Central Regional Campus in Pine Bluff. In the course of her work, she puts into practice the UAMS culture of being polite, friendly, respectful, thoughtful, optimistic and compassionate. Please read what one of her nominators wrote about how she does that:
Summer is dedicated to, and caring and supportive of her coworkers, patients and community. Summer exemplifies what it means to be a true team player. She goes above and beyond every day to ensure that all coworkers are taken care of and that the work environment is supportive and positive. Not only does Summer help her co-workers whenever needed, but she also demonstrates exceptional empathy when it comes to patients, offering comfort and care beyond the basic expectations. Her compassion and willingness to step up makes a huge difference in the lives of those around her. Summer consistently sets a standard of excellence that inspires others.
At one of the chancellor’s next cabinet meetings, Summer will receive a certificate and monetary award. In the summer, UAMS will honor her and other awardees at the annual MVP luncheon.
