UAMS Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Ranked No. 1 in First-Time National Board Pass Rates
| FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is ranked first in the nation for First-Time National Board Pass Rates, as reported by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
The UAMS Doctor of Physical Therapy Program has achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) four times in eight graduating cohorts, with three consecutive years since 2023.
“Recognition as the No. 1 physical therapy program in the nation is a reflection of the exceptional quality and consistency of our program,” said Angel Holland, PT, DPT, Ed.D., department chair and program director of the UAMS Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. “This distinction, coupled with three consecutive years of a 100% first-time licensure pass rate, highlights the outstanding achievements of our students and the dedication of our faculty and staff to preparing the next generation of physical therapists.”
The UAMS program was ranked at the top of 305 Doctor of Physical Therapy programs operating nationwide.
“Our graduates continue to demonstrate that they are among the top physical therapists entering the profession nationwide,” said College of Health Professions Dean Susan Long, Ed.D. “We are proud of their accomplishments and grateful for Dr. Holland’s leadership and the exceptional faculty who prepare them to succeed.”
The UAMS Doctor of Physical Therapy program is part of the College of Health Professions and is based at the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus in Fayetteville.
