Mee | t Jordan, the university’s MVP for September, and a patient experience specialist – education in the UAMS Office of Patient Experience.
In the course of his work, he puts into practice the UAMS culture of being polite, friendly, respectful, thoughtful, optimistic and compassionate. Read what his nominator said:
We recently lost a co-worker on July 6, 2026, who had been a part of UAMS since 2015. Our staff took it very hard. Once Jordan heard the news, he came to check on the staff daily. He arranged for pet therapy to come up to help staff deal with their grief. Jordan also brought cookies to help uplift us.
He asked for a picture of our employee who passed and took his own diploma out, put her picture in it, and sat it at the nurses’ station for us. Jordan also made sure her name and obituary were included in the UAMS In Memoriam newsletter.
He has been heaven sent to our staff. We are currently without a full-time CSM, so him stepping in to love on us was absolutely what we needed during this time. I believe this is what the MVP nomination should be about.
UAMS will recognize Jordan in several ways as this month’s MVP. Look for his photo on the Employee Appreciation Wall outside the Chancellor’s Suite in the Central Building. A Faces of UAMS video will feature him, and UAMS will honor him and other awardees at the year-end MVP luncheon.
