On Aug. 23, the Class of 2024 in the Physician Assistant Studies Program stood for one final group photo together after a valediction ceremony.

Joined by family, friends and faculty at an Aug. 23 valediction ceremony, the Physician Assistant Class of 2024 celebrated the completion of their degrees and prepared themselves for the start of their careers in health care.

The UAMS Stocked & Reddie Food Pantry on July 15 celebrated the fifth anniversary of its founding along with the more than 1.1 million meals it has provided.

Dental Hygiene Alumnus Starts Fund for Scholarship

Richard Robinson is used to being the only African American, male dental hygienist in the room. About 84% of all dental hygienists are white of which 96% are women. African Americans make up approximately 4% of all hygienists, with African American men accounting for fewer than 1%. Robinson wants to change that.

College of Health Professions students graduating with Master of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Doctor of Audiology, Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition, Master of Science in Genetic Counseling, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Physician Assistant Studies degrees were invested with hoods. May 17 in North Little Rock.

Hundreds of UAMS College of Health Professions students and their families joined faculty and staff May 17 to celebrate their pending graduation, first with an informal brunch and later with an afternoon hooding ceremony.

UAMS, Project SEARCH 2024 Graduating Class Succeeds with Mutual Support, Energy
