2020 Employee Service Awards — The Honorees
Every year, UAMS recognizes employees with 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years of service. This year, UAMS honors 1,220 employees. One employee earns her 50-year pin, while three employees hit the 45-year mark.

UAMS Research Shows Transparent Face Shields Significantly Muffle Sounds
LITTLE ROCK —New research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) shows that while transparent masks and face shields aid in communication by restoring the visibility of the mouth and the lips, they muffle the sounds made by the speaker more than other masks do.

Interim Requirements for Events during COVID-19 Pandemic
As announced to all supervisors and managers in the Leadership Connect meeting on Sept. 10, the Chancellor is requiring that all UAMS events be conducted in a 100% virtual setting, when possible, due to the current environment.
Project One/Workday is Coming
Project One is the initiative to replace and update core administrative systems for finance, procurement, human capital management, payroll, and student administration within the University of Arkansas System. As part of the Project One initiative, Workday® will replace the current human capital management and finance systems at all institutions in the University of Arkansas System.
