UAMS ranks fourth among educational organizations nationally on an annual list of Best Employers for Diversity created by Forbes magazine. UAMS was also the highest ranked Arkansas company on the list, and the only one in the Top 100.

UAMS to Close COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, Drive-Thru Testing Site

UAMS is closing its COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Monroe Building at 4 p.m. Friday, March 18.

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will close its COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Monroe Building at 4 p.m. Friday, March 18. UAMS will continue to offer COVID vaccines through individual clinics.

Additionally, the COVID testing drive-thru site, located at Shuffield Drive and Jack Stephens Drive on the UAMS campus, will close at 4 p.m. Friday, March 25.

Rex Jones is joining the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership as CEO in May, while current CEO Mellie Bridewell assumes as new role as president of the nonprofit.

LITTLE ROCK — Rex Jones is joining the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) as chief executive officer, effective May 1, 2022. He will succeed Mellie Bridewell, who will continue to serve the nonprofit as president, a new senior leadership position that will allow her to focus on strategic growth initiatives for the organization.
