Black Expo Offers Health, Entertainment and Shopping

UAMS provided health screenings along with health education at the 15th Annual Midsouth Summit Black Expo held Feb. 23 at the Little Rock Metroplex. The expo, presented by UAMS, brought together a community of entertainers, health institutions, businesses and other organizations to celebrate Black History Month.

PA Students Give More Than $12,000 to Arkansas Foodbank

Forty employees received their certificates for successfully completing the Certified Research Specialist (CRS) program in 2018 during a Jan. 31 ceremony. Another 132 employees were re-certified in 2018.

The Arkansas SAVES telemedicine stroke program, led by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), has been named one of three national finalists for the 2019 Hearst Health Prize for Excellence in Population Health.
