Biomedical Career Day Shows Students New Career Paths
The UAMS Graduate School drew more than 150 students from 11 different institutions at its 13th Annual Career Day for Biomedical Sciences. The event offered undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows a chance to learn more about career options in biomedical sciences.

UAMS Ophthalmologist Inducted into Veteran’s Hall of Fame
Before John P. Shock, M.D., joined UAMS as professor and chair of ophthalmology in the College of Medicine nearly 35 years ago, he was saving the eyesight of wounded soldiers on the battlefield. He recently was honored for his service as he was inducted into the Arkansas Military Veteran’s Hall of Fame.
