Sept. 28, 2012 | “Wow! That is great,” said Sandy McMath, taking a first look at a portrait of his late father, former Arkansas Gov. Sid McMath, whose support for the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) gave the institution a new home and facilities in the 1950s.

$10 Million NIH Grant to Support Research
Sept. 26, 2012 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has been awarded about $10 million from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to strengthen its microbiology and immunology research program.
Stillwell Named Director of UAMS Oral Health Clinic
<span class=”content”>LITTLE ROCK – Keith David Stillwell, D.D.S., has joined the new Center for Dental Education in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Health Professions and will see patients in the soon-to-open oral health clinic. He also will work to establish a dental residency program in the center.</span>
