$500,000 in Gifts To Go For Fight Against Neurological Diseases
Aug. 18, 2010 | Two $250,000 gifts, one in honor of Frances Ernareeth (Reese) Adkins Barnes, have been given to the Major and Ruth Nodini Endowed Chair in Neurology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The donors wished to remain anonymous.
Orthopaedic Oncologist Corey Montgomery, M.D., Joins UAMS
<span class=”content”>LITTLE ROCK – Corey Montgomery, M.D., has joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) as an assistant professor of orthopaedics. He will see patients with bone cancer, soft-tissue cancer and metastatic cancer to bone in the Orthopaedic Oncology Clinic at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.</span>

UAMS Receives Awards for Energy Efficiency, Cost Savings
Aug. 11, 2010 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Residence Hall that opened in 2006 has the highest score for energy efficiency of any residence hall in the nation. In addition, the UAMS campus added more than 1 million square feet in construction the last two years and still lowered its energy consumption per square foot by 20 percent.
