February 23, Science Café – ‘Social Networking & IT’

Jones, M.D., a professor of pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and director of the Center for Children at Risk, a collaboration of UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH), recently received an award for his longtime advocacy for children at risk from the American Academy of Pediatrics.</span>

UAMS Reschedules Free Glaucoma Screenings for Feb. 19 at Hot Springs Village

<span class=”content”>LITTLE ROCK – Free glaucoma screenings, conducted by ophthalmologists from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Jones Eye Institute, will be conducted from 1-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, in the Learning Center at the Good Samaritan campus, 121 Cortez Road, in Hot Springs Village.</span>

Feb. 9, 2010| – More low-income Arkansas women now have access to needed cervical cancer tests thanks to an innovative research project and communications technology that links doctors at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to state health clinics at Clarksville, Hope and Wynne.
