UAMS AHEC-SW Receives $80,000 to Continue Minority Clinic
A two-year, $80,000 grant will allow the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Area Health Education Center – Southwest (AHEC – SW) to continue providing basic, primary care at its DeQueen Minority Care Clinic.

Mountain Home Firefighters Donate $2,500 to UAMS for ALS Research
July 22, 2009 | The Mountain Home Professional Fire Fighters Association donated more than $2,500 for ALS Research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in honor of the wife of a local fire fighter who is battling the disease.

Eagles Give $2,500 to UAMS Division of Endocrinology
The Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 60 of Little Rock donated $2,500 to the division in a check presentation ceremony June 18. The majority of the funds was raised through an annual sock hop dance at the Eagles chapter headquarters, called the Little Rock Aerie.
