UAMS College of Public Health, Hendrix College Team Up to Offer Unique Degree Program for Undergraduates
LITTLE ROCK – A joint agreement between the Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and Hendrix College will allow undergraduate students at the four-year college to begin earning credit toward a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree.

Village Walk for Cancer Research to Benefit UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute
LITTLE ROCK – People of all ages are invited to register for the Seventh Annual Village Walk for Cancer Research set for Sept. 13 in Hot Springs Village. One hundred percent of proceeds from the walk will benefit the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and will be matched dollar for dollar by the state of Arkansas.

UAMS Researchers Find Many Rural Meth, Cocaine Users Quitting Without Treatment
LITTLE ROCK – Researchers at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) recently reported a two-year study of rural methamphetamine and cocaine users in three states that showed that many stopped using without formal substance abuse treatment during that time.
