LITTLE ROCK – Terry DuBose, director of the Division of Diagnostic Medical Sonography of the Department of Imaging and Radiation Sciences in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) College of Health Related Professions, recently received the Joan Baker Pioneer Award from the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) for his contributions to the field of sonography.

LITTLE ROCK – William R. “Bill” and Cacilia Howard of El Dorado have established a $2 million charitable remainder trust to benefit the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). The trust is designated to benefit breast cancer research.

LITTLE ROCK – Skin cancer specialists at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute (formerly the Arkansas Cancer Research Center) are recruiting patients into a large Phase 3 study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of Allovectin-7®, an investigational product for advanced melanoma.
