UAMS Myeloma Institute Receives $4.5 Million To Study Genetics of Disease
LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy has received $4.5 million from a San Francisco couple to establish a one-of-a kind laboratory for research into the genetic profile of multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow.

LITTLE ROCK – A program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to reduce the number of babies born with severe medical problems recently was recognized by Harvard University and the American Telemedicine Association.
UAMS to Offer Free Hepatitis C Screening June 23
LITTLE ROCK – The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will offer free screenings for hepatitis C from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. June 23 at the UAMS College of Public Health. Registration is not required, and screenings are limited to 180 participants.
