$348,000 Grant Funds UAMS Research of Multiple Sclerosis
LITTLE ROCK — A researcher at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) has been awarded a $348,487 grant from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to study the cause and possible therapies for multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic neurological disease affecting multiple regions in the brain and spinal cord.

LITTLE ROCK – About 180 teenagers with substance abuse problems will be able to get help from a grant recently awarded to a team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) for providing treatment in a part of the state where no such services exist.
