Feb. 9, 2015 |The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences’ (UAMS) today announced grants totaling $1.3 million from Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and its Blue & You Foundation for a Healthier Arkansas. The grants endow a chair in primary care and expand dental and interprofessional education programs at UAMS.

Italian Ambassador, Consul Visit UAMS Campus

Feb. 4, 2015 | Claudio Bisogniero, Italy’s ambassador to the United States, and Italian Consul General to Houston Elena Sgarbi visited the main campus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to meet with administrators, researchers and clinicians as part of a four-state tour to promote business, cultural and scientific ties with Italy.

January 29, 2015 | A University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) BioVentures startup company, InterveXion Therapeutics LLC, has received two federal grants totaling $14.5 million for development of drug therapies that can help methamphetamine drug abusers break their addiction.
