Annual NICU Reunion Draws Former Patients, Families from Across Arkansas

May 6, 2026 | A total of 91 third-year students in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Pharmacy received commemorative pins in split ceremonies held April 10 in Fayetteville and April 24 in Little Rock. The annual tradition recognizes the symbolic transition from classroom instruction to patient care as students enter their final year of pharmacy school.

UAMS Now Offering Histotripsy, a Noninvasive Treatment for Liver Tumors

May 5, 2026 | The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is now offering, for the first time in Arkansas, a noninvasive treatment option for some patients with liver tumors. Called histotripsy, the procedure uses focused ultrasound waves to destroy tumors without surgery, radiation, or incisions.
