LITTLE ROCK – Jo Ellen Ford and her brother, Randy Wilbourn, will be guest speakers at an April 26 luncheon to raise money for a University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) nursing program specializing in care for the elderly. The speakers will address issues related to caregiving for elderly parents.

Peter D. Emanuel, M.D., Named UAMS Cancer Center Director
LITTLE ROCK — Peter D. Emanuel, M.D., has been named executive director of the Arkansas Cancer Research Center (ACRC) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Emanuel’s appointment was announced today at a news conference at the state Capitol. He will assume duties on July 1, replacing James Y. Suen, M.D., who has served as center executive director since 2001.
