Physician Assistant Students Receive White Coats in Virtual Ceremony

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies held its first virtual white coat ceremony Sept. 17. Students in the Class of 2022 were assisted by friends, family and significant others as they donned their white coats for the first time.

Dental Clinic Staff Volunteer at UAMS’ COVID Screening Stations

Numerous UAMS employees volunteered to work at the employee and patient screening stations around campus. These screening stations play an important role in keeping employees, students and patients safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.

North Arkansas College, UAMS Sign New Online Transfer Agreement

Dr. Randy Esters, North Arkansas College president, and Stephanie Gardner, Pharm.D., Ed.D., UAMS provost, sign an agreement Monday in to allow Northark Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) graduates to transfer to an online program at UAMS to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS).

North Arkansas College in Harrison has signed an agreement with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) that allows Northark Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) graduates to transfer to a corresponding online Bachelor of Science degree program through UAMS without leaving their hometowns.

UAMS, Delta Dental Band Together to Improve Oral Health in State

The 12th Street Health & Wellness Center has a mission. A student-run free clinic operating under the supervision of licensed health care professionals, the center provides health screenings, education, immunizations and basic dental screenings for the community. Achieving the dental portion of the clinic’s mission would not be possible without the generosity of the Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation.

UAMS, UA Little Rock Partner in 7 Programs in College of Health Professions

Radiologic Imaging Sciences is one of seven programs included in the 2+2 partnership between UAMS and UA Little Rock. The partnership allows students to attend UA Little Rock for two years and then transfer to UAMS for two more years to earn Bachelor of Science degrees in seven allied health professions.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock have announced a new partnership for students pursuing seven bachelor’s degrees in the UAMS College of Health Professions.
