UAMS Receives $2.45 Million Grant Renewal to Boost Disadvantaged, Disabled and Minority Biomed Doctoral Grads
LITTLE ROCK — A University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) program developed to help increase the number of underrepresented, disadvantaged and disabled students graduating with doctoral degrees in biomedical sciences recently received a $2.45 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) training grant that will continue through 2019.

The second annual Central Arkansas Research Symposium on July 24 at the William J. Clinton Presidential Center provided a rare opportunity to highlight research done during the summer by more than 70 undergraduate students at UAMS and other institutions throughout central Arkansas.
