Heard to Retire as Provost, Succeeded by Gardner

Jeanne Heard, M.D., Ph.D., provost and chief academic officer of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), will retire effective June 30. She will be succeeded immediately as provost by Stephanie Gardner, Pharm.D., Ed.D., dean of the College of Pharmacy and associate provost for society and health.

It wasn’t psychology that was regularly giving the 19-year-old college sophomore debilitating headaches. But, not knowing what it was, he was at a loss for a time and helpless to stop them.
