Fourth Street Pedestrian, Vehicle Traffic Restricted
| Projects like the new power plant on the east side of campus have generated construction activity along Cedar Street starting on the north end at Plateau and extending all the way to Interstate 630. The most recent UAMS project (Radiation Oncology Center/Proton Therapy Center) has begun at the intersection of Fourth and Cedar streets. Because of the project, Fourth Street is effectively closed between Cedar and Pine streets and will be for the next two years and is now a part of the project area.
During this time, it is imperative that all pedestrian and vehicle traffic cease in that area in order to ensure absolute safety for UAMS staff, faculty and students as well as our patients. This is a very busy work area and with so much construction going on UAMS needs to take every precaution to keep everyone safe. Please note this is a RESTRICTED AREA for everyone with the exception of the contractors. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
