Clinic to Start Offering Flu Shots Sept. 20

UAMS Student and Employee Health Services (SEHS) will begin offering seasonal influenza vaccines at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, in the Hospital Lobby Gallery.

Chancellor’s Town Hall Slated for Noon, Sept. 23

A Chancellor’s Town Hall meeting will be held at noon, Sept. 23 on Zoom. The focus will be on COVID-19 and recent news.


SEED Application Period Open until Sept. 30

Applications are being accepted through Sept. 30 for the fifth annual Seed (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) Training classes. The National Seed Leadership has described the Seed experience as “Hard Work and Heart Work.”


Campus Policy Portal to be Upgraded; No Access Sept. 18-19

The Compliance 360 portal will be upgraded to a cloud environment powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) at 5 p.m., Sept. 18, 2021.  The expected downtime is 12 hours, ending at about 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19.  During this time, the web access and all created hyperlinks to policies housed in the database will not be accessible. 


Brain Imaging Research Center Installs New MRI Scanner

To maintain its cutting-edge research efforts, the Brain Imaging Research Center replaced its current Philips 3T Achieva magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner Monday, Sept. 13 with a new Siemens 3T Prisma MRI scanner.

Epic Maintenance/Downtime Slated for 10 p.m. – Midnight Sept. 23

Epic Maintenance/Downtime is scheduled for 10 p.m. to midnight, Thursday, Sept. 23. The previously scheduled Epic system upgrade has been postponed to Thursday, Sept. 23rd, from 10 p.m. – midnight.

Updated: First in ‘Stories from the Archive’ Series Sept. 15

UAMS Historical Research Center Stories from the Archives series will open at noon Wednesday, Sept. 15. The one-hour presentation will look at the life of Dr. George W.S. Ish (1883-1970), a prominent African-American doctor in Little Rock.
