Major Shift in Traffic Dec. 11 as Cedar Street to Close Permanently

Traffic on Pine and Cedar streets on the east side of the UAMS main campus will shift on Saturday, Dec. 11 when Cedar Street permanently closes.

Volunteers Needed for Patient Call Light Coverage

Supervisors and managers in non-clinical areas are asked to look at the workloads of their staff and determine if any non-critical work can be delayed to allow staff to offer support to answer patient call lights.

IT Security Tightens to Prevent ‘Zoombombing’

Zoom and UAMS are implementing tighter security measures for Zoom meetings. Effective immediately, all Zoom meetings scheduled on the UAMS Zoom account will require a passcode. Note that meeting links should never be published to web pages.

New Entrance for Outpatient Pharmacy Opens

After more than two years of planning and construction, Phase One of an expansion of the UAMS Outpatient Pharmacy is now complete. During Phase Two, the pharmacy pick-up entrance is temporarily relocated around the corner where the Breast Center was previously located.

Updated: Rahn Bridge Closed for Renovation

Rahn Bridge over Campus Drive and between Parking 2 and the Rahn Building closed Nov. 9 to allow for its renovation. Construction will take about four to six months. The closing was originally scheduled for Nov. 4.

The center’s new, expanded location on the third floor of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute can accommodate more patients than ever.
