No Vented Masks Allowed at UAMS

Vented masks are NOT to be worn inside UAMS. Masks with a small plastic vent on the side allow the wearer’s breath to leave the mask and potentially release COVID-infected particles. Effective immediately, entrance screeners will not allow anyone to enter UAMS wearing a vented mask.

Supportive Conversations Hotline Offers Employees Someone to Talk To

Susan McDougal, director of pastoral care at UAMS, is one of several volunteers for Supportive Conversations, a 24/7 hotline for UAMS employees who need to someone to listen. "Being able to talk to someone who understands what you’re going through and can talk with you through your immediate crisis is so valuable.”

During this stressful time of social isolation in the midst of a pandemic, employees need someone to talk to, said Susan McDougal, director of pastoral care at UAMS.

Employees and students don’t have to go far to pick up fresh fruit and vegetables now that UAMS is sponsoring a Farmers Market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Tuesday.
