Virtual Art Workshop Honors Women’s History Month

Women were encouraged to take time for themselves at the virtual art event “UAMS Women: Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Division for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partnered with Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and My T by Design to honor Women’s History Month with a virtual art workshop, titled “UAMS Women: Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.”

The Arkansas Air National Guard on March 17 recognized UAMS supervisor Marvin Powell as a Patriotic Employer — an award that was more than a year in the making.

Dietetics, Nutrition Programs Mark Anniversaries with Online Celebration, Guest Lecture

UAMS Dietetics through the Decades: the Dietetics Internship program in the College of Health Professions' Department of Dietetics and Nutrition celebrated the 50th anniversary of its establishment.

Alumni, faculty and students celebrated March 10 the dual birthdays of programs in the UAMS College of Health Professions’ Department of Dietetics and Nutrition. College and university leaders spoke on Zoom about the history and achievements of the programs leading up to the anniversaries.

Study Puts More Than 50 UAMS Faculty Among Top 2% of Influential Researchers

Shuk Mei Ho, Ph.D., UAMS vice chancellor for Research and Innovation, said the lengthy list of influential UAMS faculty is a testament to the institution’s high priority for research.
