Though a dreary mist darkened the midmorning sky outside, it was all brightness and cheer in the offices of UAMS Chancellor Cam Patterson, M.D., MBA, as 19 preschool carolers from UAMS Head Start Sherwood came to spread the holiday spirit.

Seven Tips for Managing Holiday Stress

Molly the therapy dog is part of the Special Pets Offering Therapy (SPOT) program. She, and others dogs in the program, spent time in the Library during November and December to provide stress release for students and employees.

UAMS Blanket Drive Warms Homeless and the Heart

Hundreds of homeless or housing insecure people in and around Little Rock now have something to help them stay warmer during the winter months all because a student in the UAMS College of Nursing just happened to witness – and be inspired by – a specific act of kindness.

The UAMS Alumni Association held a holiday open house Dec. 4 in the Administration West building, as they welcomed Miss Arkansas 2018 Claudia Raffo to the UAMS family.

Lisa Miller has a rare skill set that includes training as a lawyer and as a nurse midwife.
On Nov. 15 at UAMS, she put both to use with an audience of dozens of nurses and clinicians attending the POWER workshop at UAMS.

A variety of solutions with which to attack the ongoing national opioid epidemic took center stage at the 22nd Showcase of Medical Discoveries, held Nov. 14 in the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
