Staff Cereal Drive Haul Represents 652 Boxes

The staff of H4 trauma/surgical/cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit donated the equivalent of 652 boxes of cereal to the Arkansas Foodbank.

The staff of H4 trauma/surgical/cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, including nurses and nursing assistants, harnessed their own generosity and combined it with that of numerous other donors to provide a plentiful donation of cereal to the Arkansas Food Bank.

Edith Irby Jones, M.D., Trailblazing Medical Pioneer, Passes Away at 91

Edith Irby Jones, M.D., enrolled at UAMS in 1948 as the first African American to enroll in an all-white medical school in the South.

Edith Irby Jones, M.D., who became a pioneer when she enrolled at UAMS in 1948 as the first African American to enroll in an all-white medical school in the South, and who went on to a distinguished career as a doctor, educator and philanthropist, passed away on July 15.
