LITTLE ROCK — Three workshops — Using your iPhone, iPad for Beginners and Using iPhoto on Your Mac Computer — and two computer classes — Fundamentals for Beginners – Windows 7 and Introduction to Computers – Windows 7 — will be taught in April for people ages 50 and older at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.

Ground Broken For Psychiatric Healing Garden

March 10, 2015 | Gardens and healing seem to go hand in hand. The color green was sacred in ancient Egypt, a representation of new vegetation and life that comes each spring. The Greeks built a temple for Aesclepius, their god of healing, in some of the earliest healing gardens. Medieval monks relied on the power of plants to heal the sick in their monasteries’ cloistered gardens.
