UAMS Northwest Receives $194,200 Grant from Walmart Foundation to Aid Marshallese Diabetes Program

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Northwest in Fayetteville today announced a $194,200 grant from the Walmart Foundation to support its ongoing effort to treat diabetes in the region’s Marshallese community.

CDC Awards UAMS $3.75 million for Arkansas Prevention Research Center

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Prevention Research Center (ARPRC) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health has been awarded an additional $3.75 million grant to continue the ARPRC’s activities for a new five-year period by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
