COVID-19 Vaccine Available to UAMS Employees

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) received its first allocation of 2,000 COVID-19 vaccinations from the Arkansas Department of Health today and began administering the first vaccines to critical health care employees.

College’s 2020 Clinical Pharmacy Team Most Successful Yet in National Competition

Three fourth-year College of Pharmacy students performed even better than they expected this fall during the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Clinical Pharmacy Challenge, reaching the quarter finals in the nationwide contest for the first time.

Chancellor’s Circle Spotlight: Graduate Medical Education

Chancellor Patterson presents Molly Gathright, M.D. with the $30,000 grant for the UAMS College of Medicine Office of Graduate Medical Education. UAMS has set a goal to increase residency positions in Arkansas by 200 slots over the next 10 years, with at least 50% of those spots in primary care.

Chancellor Patterson presents Tonya Johnson with the $30,000 grant for Stocked & Reddie. Since opening on July 15, 2019, Stocked & Reddie has provided more than 68,000 meals to more than 1,100 active members.
