New Entrance for Outpatient Pharmacy Opens
After more than two years of planning and construction, Phase One of an expansion of the UAMS Outpatient Pharmacy is now complete. During Phase Two, the pharmacy pick-up entrance is temporarily relocated around the corner where the Breast Center was previously located.

Updated: Rahn Bridge Closed for Renovation
Rahn Bridge over Campus Drive and between Parking 2 and the Rahn Building closed Nov. 9 to allow for its renovation. Construction will take about four to six months. The closing was originally scheduled for Nov. 4.

Participation, Engagement Strong for Second Annual Health Fair

More than 500 people Oct. 18 attended the second annual UAMS Health Fair — a 20% increase over the 2020 health fair.
November MVP — Johnette Jones

The MVP for November is Johnette Jones, who has been an asset to UAMS for more than three decades. Johnette Jones is an Administrative Manager in Human Resources, and she wonderfully represents the UAMS values of being polite, friendly, respectful, thoughtful, optimistic and compassionate.
Interim COVID Event Policy Updated
UAMS has updated the special events policy regarding all UAMS affiliated events on and off campus. Due to the pandemic the events policy is evolving to reflect how we, as a healthcare institution, are operating at this time.

UAMS Earns CHIME Digital Health Most Wired Recognition

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) recently earned 2021 Digital Health Most Wired recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). UAMS was recognized as a certified level 8 acute hospital.
