UAMS Triage Team Honored by DAISY Foundation for Compassionate COVID-19 Response

LITTLE ROCK – Nurses in the COVID-19 Triage Team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) were honored by the national DAISY Foundation and the California-based HealthImpact nonprofit organization for devising a screening process for patients who are homeless or rely on public transportation.

Team UAMS Celebrates with Holiday Meal, Virtual Festivities

Nutrition Services employees serve the holiday meal on Dec. 10. “Nutrition Services employees have the hardest job each year with putting on this celebration, and they all do it with smiles on their faces and absolutely wonderful attitudes,” said organizer Annabeth Johnson.

The holiday spirit was alive and well as thousands of UAMS employees across the state enjoyed a holiday meal prepared by Nutrition Services staff.

COVID-19 Vaccine Available to UAMS Employees

LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) received its first allocation of 2,000 COVID-19 vaccinations from the Arkansas Department of Health today and began administering the first vaccines to critical health care employees.

College’s 2020 Clinical Pharmacy Team Most Successful Yet in National Competition

Three fourth-year College of Pharmacy students performed even better than they expected this fall during the American College of Clinical Pharmacy’s Clinical Pharmacy Challenge, reaching the quarter finals in the nationwide contest for the first time.
